blan89 159 Posted October 31, 2011 Report Share Posted October 31, 2011 how often do people who use permanent bedding (quilts and the like) wash them? i use wood shavings for my dogs think its great i use straw,i wouldn't put something the dogs slept on in the washing machine and couldn't be fecked handwashing it every week. TOMO 27,261 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 im lucky at my workplace we have big industrial washers,, so i do them there,, but to be honest i might not wash them for a month or 2,,, but the dogs dont go to bed wet or dirty, there always washed and towel dryed first... some duvets never get washed,, there only £2.50 from ikea, so i get 4 or 5 at a time, spend £10-12 at a time, no big deal 2 Quote Link to post

HarryWatson 99 Posted November 1, 2011 Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 hi there i did use straw but it kept breaking down and you got a lot of dust very messy so now i go to asda and get a single or double duvet 499 or 999 and get some old quilt covers from boot sale or the charity shops a pound eatch or get the old ones of friend in the street about once a week i take them of give them agood shake and bung them in the wash the quilts not the duvet but be were of doing it with pups they will rip it to bits if you put one on eatch end then the pup carnt get at the duvet good luck Quote Link to post
