simonrocco 175 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Share Posted October 30, 2011 i was wanting to have a look out with the dogs and ferrets yesterday morning but because of the bad weather (rain + wind) i desided to give it a miss by 6pm the wind and rain was still here so i desided to give my mate a ring to see if he fancied a look out on the lamp but he couldnt go so i desided to have a look out local by myself i set off about 11.30pm to a small bit of permission near where i live its only a few fields but it holds quite a few rabbits i got into the first field and switched the lamp on there were 3 in this field i managed to get a run on 2 of them but they both got into the dyke and got away i got into the next field and there was 9 rabbits in it i chased 5 of them and managed to catch 2 these werent the biggest of rabbits (this years young) the rest of the rabbits in this field were running to the dykes as soon as they seen the lamp as they are very lamp shy round my area. i walked over 2 more feilds ran 3 more but only managed to catch the 1 so i walked back to the car and went to another location there was a few rabbits out in the first field i managed to catch 4 out of 9 and desided to call it a night after that as the dog was tired cause i havent had him out lamping for a while and hes not fit yet anyway ended up with 7 rabbits in total so not a bad couple of hours i was back home by 2.10am. hope you like the write up and pics atb for the season lads Quote Link to post
