loy_29935 0 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Share Posted October 30, 2011 Hi I am new to the site and any sort of hunting but have just got a 18 month to two years old Lurcher from a rescue. My previous experience with dogs has been with Bulldogs and after the last one passed away about a month ago I decided I was going to get a dog that ran, hunted and did dog things instead of a furry vegetable like my Bullies. I am keen to let my dog do what nature intended her to do and am planning to do a bit of rabbiting when I have worked out how to get started properly. Just finishing the House Lurcher by Jackie Drakeford and will probably move on to a more working specific book after, Not much history with my Bitch Sandy although she seems reasonably responsive with recall and down and brings sticks and balls back to me when thrown, I don't know the mix but have been advised Whippet x Collie x Saluki maybe.
