Guest foxtrack
I have heard of that breeder- 'Carolina Ferrets'. Have a look at the site it's absolute bollocks, so called feeding information was a load of crap when I was on there a few months back [she actually advises against feeding raw meat!] and she breeds first and foremost for colour of all things. Not health, working ability or even temperament. FFS. http://www.ferrets.htmlplanet.com/photo4.html The health is debatable anyway, i have been told there sufferers of breating probs & skin issues, why do peeps breed animals that are not sound health wise, its something that shouldnt be encouraged well it happend to most of the kc reg dogs hasent it and chickens and pigs and even crops so i supose the ferret is the next in line Quote Link to post

Ossie 11
i suppose the only real use for ferrets like that is if you live somewhere really cold. but then you've probably not got rabbits... and they seem to cope with the cold quite admirably. mine were outside in winter, one night it got down to -7. i was fully expecting 2 dead ferrets the next day, but they didn't seem phased one bit. put my hand on the side of their hutch in the night, the heat positively radiated off it. MikeTheDog 153
Don't forget, in some countrys ferrets are bred mainly as pets not workers Edited March 31, 2007 by MikeTheDog Quote Link to post
