minion 29
I was wondering if you can have an "all round" whippet. By that I mean can a top notch racing dog still be a top rabbitting / coursing dog? I wasn't sure if a whippet would still show the same enthusiasum for racing / lure coursing if it is allowed to chase live quarry. My whippet will be a working dog and rabbit and hare will be my quarry but i fancy a wee go at lure coursing and racing too. So does anyone have experiance of dogs that do both to a reasonable standard? Quote Link to post
luke 2
i dont race mines but would reckon you would need to start them off on the racing first then the life quarry mines wont chase anything unless it has a pulse Quote Link to post
