brambles 3,269
Gave my big dog a run on the lamp the other night, after a few rather long runs and at the end of the night he run his last rabbit down into the corner of the field, he started to yelp and I thought he had hung himself up on a broken fence or something. After a good inspection I came to the conclusion it must have been cramp due to the way he was holding himself, next day he was fine. He is good and fit, well hydrated (gets electrolite after vigourous exercise) and has a well balanced diet, my question is what causes cramp in this situation, I've never had this problem in other lurchers. boyo 1,398
tinned tomatoes in food is very good plus rub them down with a greyhound rub to warm muscles up if cramping persists try giving them a quineen tablet before going out this prevents cramping all greyhound people use them when they need to .
