smithie 2,444
i once stalked a stone. i was only on with the air rifle but i put some effort into getting close enough for a shot ( i like to be 25 yards ish) and way i could see mt target in the grass with its ears up, i squeezed the trigger to here my pellet pinging of the stone i too think this might have been dead before i shot it Quote Link to post
TWOTWOTHREE 152
Quite amusing that! On a field I go through when out shooting there is a magpie sat in the same place every outing,it's great but a shame that it's a stop tap on a lenth of mdpe pipe running to a trough,I know it's there but for that split millisecond the instinct takes over, but to better that one of the lads who used to come clay shooting with us shouted pull to the trap boy only to ignore the clay and shoot at a fly thinking the clay was high,so funny to watch, you could see in the faces of everyone stood waiting thinking what the he'll is he doing, slight bout of p taking for a while was needed.
