Irish Lurcher 1,013
Had a decent session out on Charlie tonight. We had arranger to meet up with Graham and spent some time on his land, we met up at around ten and half an hour later we were onto our first Charlie. Only for the fucken gate we could have nailed him, its always amazes me just how quick they can move when pursued by a lurcher, one nil to Charlie. We walked no further that twenty yards and I being to call, a Charlie came bouncing across the field in search of food and we evened up the score sheet. In between the slips on Charlie we were slipping on the odd bunny. Our next field was a total surprise, we had a choice, we had one come in from our right and two from our left, a decent course resulted in the scored sheet revert back to Charles favor. And believe it or not we managed another slip in the same field, but again with no luck. A set of eyes in the far distance soon coming galloping into the call and this Charlie was no push-over, he gave as good as he got, two nil to us. In total we must have called in at least ten Charlie, not all within slipping range, two Charlie and a bunny later we called it a night. Good night lamping and good company. 2 Quote Link to post
