feral ferrets

I don,t know whats happening this year as the population seems to have exploded,is it the same every where else??i,ve lamped them,roadkills all over[a friends got a few in his freezer that he,s picked up] :blink: phone calls asking if i have lost any,theres also a polecat and albino spotted in the lane outside my house,probably a reason why the rabbit numbers are down...

if you see one go and try and catch it, as in just you (not dogs)....if it's an escapee or one lost ferreting you might catch it, if it's wild you won't

couple years back i caught a feral jill that had gone in my local pub, all the barstaff were stood on barstools :laugh:

gave her to a lad who came to my house looking to buy a ferret, she turned into a good little worker i heard.

Most of what you see on the road are probably collarless losses searching for roadkills and getting whacked by cars, I would have thought that wild feral ferrets would stick to cover and be very weary, the ferals we see here are only glimpsed as they sculk away into cover, dont see many though.

tbh i wouldnt think a ferret would be out looking for roadkill,and theres too many to be ferreting losses..
