Dale; Perfectly true, mate. Though, obviously, the ferret takes a light line which they then use to drag a heavier line or the cable itself back through with. I was once asked to stand by for just such a job myself. Well; My ferret anyway.

For me, the greatest 'other' use for my ferrets was pulling girls! Seriously! I'd just go out of a night with a ferret - poley coloured was best. 'Cuter' - riding on my collar. Never failed to catch some sweeties eye and get me into a conversation with an already charmed female ;)

Doubt it'd still work somehow. Not at my age

I think i remember ferrets being used to pull cabling through pipework at wherever charles and di got married, might have been westminster or whatever, i think it was for the tv coverage.

bullsmilk i dont think you realise just how small the moles tunnel is . there not much bigger than a mouse hole. also there is a not much oxygen down there.

bit of yousless info for those that are intrested in moles. did you know they have twice as much blood in there bodies as similar sized mammels. the reason is to carry the very little oxygen they get around there bodies

I dont want to appear rude but have you ever seen a mole tunnel large enough to fit even the smallest of ferrets down? :hmm:

Did that in support of 'Band Aid', mate. I honestly don't know if I still have any of the photo's knocking about here, since I moved again? Raised a good few quid in my old local though. Only time I ever did it ;)

Stinking of piss must be a real turn on for some bitch's.. :clapper:

Naah. Seriously; They never let me down in that respect. I used to put them on the ground every now and then and allow them to back up into some corner for all that. In fact - to my eternal shame and regret - I seriously believe I may well have been the stupid c*** responsible for the whole craze of walking bloody ferrets on leads! Did that thirty odd years ago and ended up in the local paper. Within five years or so it was all the rage in Chelsea! I'll carry that one to my grave
