old school 546
sorry mate, yea shogun!!! and just to add, if i was goin to buy again i'd have def went for the 2.8 because the 2.4 is a revvy sort of an oul b*****d... i find myself reachin for another gear when i'm already in 5th and i'd say i'm only doin about 55mph ... i'd prob get more mpg from the 2.8 ?? and edited to add again, without robbing the man of his thread, does anyone have problems starting theyres in the heavy frost??? a lad walked up to me out of the blue on a night out and he knew the jeep i'd bought and that she was an oul bitch to get started in the cold!! apparently the deisel freezes.... it hasnt happened yet but is there any cure for that besides findin somewhere to put her in?? samearl14 11
Iv got a 2.8 pajero and its pretty thirsty. But i have got bigger tyres on it so probably has worsened the consumption. Diesel gets thicker when its cold making it harder to start. But could be youve got a couple of glow plugs need replacing.

If thats bollocks then i hold my hands up....just thought i seen it somewhere...

old school 546
i know putting the wrong fuel into cars etc is a really common thing and i read if you put diesel into petrol then your proper fooked but the other way around is supposed to be ok in moderation... i wonder how much petrol would you use?? or would there be a treatment that could be tipped into the tank, like some of the various bottles of 'boy racer' shite you see in garages for sports cars!! samearl14 11
Petrol in a diesel is worse than diesel in a petrol ;-) But yeah a bit in a full tank of diesel will do the trick when its really really cold.
