the best 410 cartridge?

I have a little baikal moderated 410 for shooting ferreted rabbits, Accuracy i have quickly found out is a lot more important than when using a 12g. The question is, is there a cartridge that i could use that would have a bit more stopping power. I suppose its all down to pellet content and spread but i would appreciate anyones experience and advice.

When I had my hushpower the best cartridges I used in it were Fiocchi 3" 7.5 shot which I shot allsorts with and some old paper ones that someone gave me. The standard 410 catridges that shops sell like express and gamebore rattle like marraca's and are all different weights.

yep its chambered for 3" and ive shot eley 3" 6s at 18gms with mixed results in fact one i shot had no shot in it!!

give these a ring, they import a good 410 cartridge.

remmington are also very good but not cheap

3" 6 shot lyvales through my hush power baikal no probs just a wide shot pattern due to the mod on the gun being very open enough to fit brass end of cartridge in

I use 3inch magnums in a hush power. Bowls them over mate!

Thanks lads, i will have a trial and error session with some different types. but the main problem is with the bloke behind the gun!!

For the absolute best patterns with any shotgun try tungston shot.The price is consibley more but the 410 needs some help to get good patterns.For lead or steel shot use a 2 1/2" shel they pattern better than a 3" shell.
