Wolf hunt..

Recommended Posts

I wonder how many wolves get badly injured in situations like that, and do they survive if so? I've watched films of the Red Dhole in India, and Cape Hunting Dogs which actually look after injured pack members, going back to lead them to a kill and so on. I wonder if wolves do the same or is it every wolf for itself?

Quite a few probably. The more desperate for food they get, the bigger risks they take. I saw a program once about a pride of lions who had to resort to trying to kill adult elephants because other food was that scarce. :icon_eek: That was an eye opener..

Great to watch that, animals doing what come's naturely to them ,it's a pity the anti's dont think that way about hunting with dogs

That's what's so stupid isn't it, if you were hunting and a couple of your dogs were seen to take a deer down and take a minute or so to kill it there would be an uproar. In what way is that different to what happens all the time in the wild? you watch those african hunting dogs and half the time they start eating their prey before it's even dead!!!

Antis don't understand nature at all though, that's obvious to anyone. Human beings are designed to be meat eaters, but they don't eat meat saying meat is murder etc. etc. Thick as shit most of them to be honest.

pack members will look after offspring for the alpha male & female while they are out hunting, but also seen them turn on injured pack members so i'm to sure about that.

Those Dhole packs have killed tigers & leopards and they are about the size of a small collie. :icon_eek:

African wild dogs i think have the higher success rate in all the african predators when it comes to hunting they are also known to eat prey while its still alive.

i am farely sure the wild dogs have the best success rate of all, i think its 75% success.

don't know about the percentage but I've heard african dogs are the most successful aswell, they just exhaust their prey and then take it down in numbers, not a lot can match them for stamina!
