Well if you condone breeding of's a 14month old dog then your as bonkers as they come I don't know anyone that would do that in the dog game Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,209
Well if you condone breeding of's a 14month old dog then your as bonkers as they come I don't know anyone that would do that in the dog game Where did i ever say i condone of it? I NEVER bred the pups,my brother in law has a bitch (Polly) which has been dogged with injury for the past several seasons and as it happens now looks like her career has now ended due to this re-occuring injury...he bred her with the purpose of nothing other than getting a pup for himself and nothing other than that!! He gave ALL of them away, one couple from Newmarket offered to pay good money for one but he wasn't having any of it,my son so his nephew got one too,a lad who lives a 100 yards away from him got another for FREE..at the time my old dog was no longer covering bitches and there wasn't too many of the type he wanted that were still hanging around, there was a dog called Maurice and Don..YES he was relatively untried and tested but so what? He wanted a pup for HIMSELF to replace HIS bitch..no hidden agendas thrown in there..as my bro in law lives NEXT door to me and the Maurice dog is in another part of the country it was the easiest of the two options don't you think? The pups are all coming along grand and showing all the right signs...so whats YOUR problem here? As for me being bonkers lol...call me what you will matey but trust me i've put more away then you and a hundred of your TOP hunting buddies can only dream of...i ain't been big headed i say it as it is..i ain't just been hanging a few bunnies from a gate as you seem to think all my life haha...this fecking t'internet is full of it!!!....have a good day and enjoy your dogs that if you have any lol. toby1066 413
why not use the maurice dog if thats older and more proven who cares how far away it is if you can travel to kill rabbits you can travel to use a good stud Quote Link to post
FUJI 17,209
why not use the maurice dog if thats older and more proven who cares how far away it is if you can travel to kill rabbits you can travel to use a good stud Like i say Toby i NEVER bred the pups, both the Don dog and Maurice are very similar in breeding both have the same sire which was my old dog Jack and it's sire was almost of identical breeding to Don's so i don't think it would of made the greatest of differences imo anyways? At the end of the day as far as i'm aware anyway there hasn't been one single bad word on any of the pups..can't see any problem from here? ATB Andy. Quote Link to post
toby1066 413
using a proven dog means you got more time to see if theres faults there a young dog could do great on its first season and jack the next winter but like you say bred for you and your family so if yous are happy then it nobodys busness 1 Quote Link to post
