You`d be as well taking the Ox spring, and throwing it at the rabbits ! lol never liked them mesell

 

A good gunsmith will beable to match a spring to the gun,, doubfull you would ever find an original spring.

FAC or not the HR81 wasn't really made to shoot over 12 and unless you know exactly what you're doing you'll ruin a a lovely old springer.

 

As above, forget an OX. Keep it standard

I dont think the air cylinder is big enough to get more power than 12 ftlbs .A stronger spring will just make the gun recoil .The extra powerfull ox spring will just cause wear and tear on the gun .If the spring gets to strong you will lose power because the piston will bounce back before the pellet has left the gun .If your gun is shooting better with washers it may be shooting at the max power now .The gun was made to be a 12 ftlbs gun . So to get the gun to shoot well at 12ftlbs is the best you can do .To get more power you need a different gun.

What's this thing with washers in springers? It's a load of old bollox. You've not changed the amount of power in the spring in any way, all that happens is that the pre-load is increased and that does not affect power at all. What does happen very often however, is that the trigger doesn't engage properly.

 

If it's shooting better it's down to the fact the gun's been stripped, cleaned and re-lubed. mate.

Don`t tune a gun above 12 ft lbs without an FAC,, 5 yrs standard sentence,, instant expantion in arsehole circumferance

well it was shooting at 10.5 lb now its shooting at 11.7lbs so yh the washers DID work and now its never been better like i sed before
