Only fools and horses has legendary status for me!

Currently I'm well into 'The Big Bang Theory' and it seems alot of my friends are too. I think you would either love it or just think "this is f*****g shite".

Top gear is still good but the last couple series seem too staged. The bolivia 4x4 one, african safari special, iraq xmas special and antarctic challenge were the best ever!!!

Looking forward to 'Game of Thrones' second season in spring.

That's good.

The only decent TV seems to be coming from the states these days. I forgot about the Yank TV shows when I commented on this thread earlier, there are some really good dramas on Sky Atlantic. Boardwalk Empire, the Borgias & Game of Thrones are three shit hot series that come to mind.

It's a shame it's all sky these days though. I honestly dont think I would watch TV if I was limited to the 5 terrestrial channels or even freeview. When I was at Uni a couple years back I went all week without even switching the TV on other than to watch the odd blockbuster someone had rented.

Just wanna add Spooks as well! Just got into it this last season having never really bothered and f*****g loved it. Gutted I only just started to bother with it and it's finished forever!

the problem is, these days you sit down and decide you want to watch telly so you sit there and search for something to watch, and keep searching until you find something, when we just had terrestrial TV you'd only sit down to watch telly if there was something on you wanted to watch (if that makes sense).

There's never anything decent on anymore its all freak show type programs like the modern day elephant man type thing or game shows. I was just wondering if there has ever really been any thing good

That's true to a point, but now with Sky+ you can watch stuff when you want to and more or less create your own TV schedule.

I know, that's even worse though, I've got dozens of hours of programmes waiting to be watched. I keep building them up and then one day I'll have too many beers and will go all ruthless and delete 90% of them, and then be pissed off the next day..........it's a tough life being a drinker!

Used to Like Brendon Chase and Catweasle as a kid, used to hate being forced to watch Elvis movies, nowadays I detest Big Brother because every man and his dog asks me to repeat that awful....."Day 23 in the big brother house,and..............."because I sound a bit like Marcus Bentley at times.
