pro sport vs tx200

Recommended Posts

I would have a Pro Sport any time, any day. Air Arms never made it for us left handed riflemen until recently, that's why I have owned both the left handed TX200 .22 rifle and a .177 HC carbine for the last ten years or so. They are beautiful, superbly accurate and incredibly consistent rifles that hit what you aim them at. I wouldn't have my collection without them.

But the Pro Sport has it in the looks department by a marathon mile. It is a stunningly beautiful rifle and it's as accurate as it's possble to get.

Definately one on my list when I've got the cash to spare.

when i saw you had answered i laughed an thought he is going to say get a hw77 ! a bit like every time any one brings up the weight of hw100s or txs davey gives it noodle arms. to be honest i have seen at the mendip shooting ground (close to me) they have brand new pros for 425 which i reckon is fair enough after xmas and my tax bill is done an dusted i am going to get one, just the calibre that i am pondering now as i have a 400 an 410 in 22 both bought s/h back in 2009 so i reckon i can justify adding a springer to the gang financially.

Nothing beats a well-sorted HW77 like mine in the hunting/target shooting field Fry old lad! That rifle is a German masterpiece.

But the Pro Sport has all the accuracy you need for hunting wrapped in a beautiful design of its own.

Spring rifle shooting to me is a bit like classic cars to some others. It's an old, established design concept, it's beautifully simple and it's been improved and polished up into some stunning examples. The HW77 is one example and the Pro Sport is another.

Both worth owning and enjoying

All the best mate.

Simon
