Hare prep?

I've heard differing opinions on how to prepare hare. Do you...

 

1. Hang it for 4 days, guts still in, fur still on or...

 

2. Gut the same day as it was shot like a rabbit?

I'm not a big fan of hanging small game for long, I leave small game hung over night and sort in the morning

in the dead of winter ,, rabbit improves in my opinion if hung 3-5 days guts out

guts out ~ skin and cook it.. Or prepare meat and store in fridge.

 

If your looking to enhance flavours maranade whilst in fridge..

 

I aint a fan of hanging rabbits,hares and birds, would rather it sat in a fridge or two days than hung in my shed JMO..

gut it in the field skin and prep it at home hare isnt the good hung thats my opinion then slow cook with fennel oxo and seasoning once done put iit in a pie and cook pie awsome eating
