BEARINATOR 2,872
the FBI should be brought in to decipher this code. cant understand a word of it. We already have Mi5 agents in here, we don't need the FBI as well Quote Link to post
scottish hare hunter 2,345
hancocks dogs were and some still are bred from working or ex working farm bred border / beardie collies and he uses coursing bred or racing type greyhounds... a had spent afew hours taking to david when a got my hancock lurcher near 2 year ago and he is a bag of knowledge on collies and the crosses. the only thing is when you breed that amount of pups by the law of averages you are bound to get some bad ones and thats when the vulchers start to sleigh him. u want a collie cross well with hancock u get what u ask for... (what it says on the tin) the way a see it is if they weren't any good why the high demand for them Edited October 28, 2011 by scottish hare hunter Quote Link to post
darbo 4,776
had hancock lurchers back in the eighties.think it would be fair to say he uses mainly ex track greyhounds as brood bitches now.if you are happy with your hancock dog thats all that matters. Quote Link to post

poacher3161 1,766
IMHO i would not give any credit to hancock all the credits due to the lads who have made them into good dogs and imho they would have done the same with any well bred lurcher off good stock. 1 Quote Link to post

darbo 4,776
at the end of the day hancock is a buisness. ive said it before the main reason borders were crossed with beardies was to produce in some cases rough coated merles. hancock told me many years ago he had a long waiting list for wall eyed rough coated merles. which made very good sellers. i dont think the working ability was the main thing on his mind. darbo 4,776
the specific type people put their name down for in some cases was the look of the dog ie rough coated merle. by the way i have seen some very good dogs out of hancocks and some not so good. you pay your money and make your choice.
