Guest born to run1083
so lets look at it this way he breads collie x's so u want a good half x say so what u wants a collie that chases sheep lining the grey hound whuch then should mean the pup should still chase sheep all day no??? use are saying worker to worker well then thrs a worker not all the breeding its what the owner can do for the dog aswell Not true at all mate for me I wouldn't want the collie just chasing sheep all day, I would want one like the dam to my first x, ferreted, lamped, used as a drawing dog then bred from at the age of 6 once proved her self, season after season the grey was used for years on the long ears and still is now at 9. For me it has to be worker to worker. Why take the chance on anything less Quote Link to post
DogFox123 1,379
so you get terriers spaniels feild trail winners coursing winners there all bred of dogs that are good at what they are bred for so why go to non worker to non worker ,he mite have bred thousands of dogs but doesnt meen there bred [bANNED TEXT], breed little but breed [bANNED TEXT] not mass produce not the way forward at times ,ive saw several working greyhounds some good feet some hard as nails ,tackle anything ,wind, a bit brain ,and collies who work cattle , mark to ground, catch vermin on farm , at least you can see there plusses ,i would tell any young un or old un ,see the parents see there doing something you like about them then make your mind up , as a dog well youl have several seasons living with him or not if he isnt what you want ,to me hanckocks like tescos , but not everybody wants to go to tescos , some want individule traits That's the thing, we all would like a 1st cross off a good working collie put to a top quality greyhound. But for the average hunter who hasn't got the time, space or money what other option have you got? If you personally know someone who breeds them and you can be certain of the breeding then sure you'd take one over a Hancock. Quote Link to post
