BULLDOUG 199
I think you'll find it's more than the odd gem Not to puppy production ratio you wont. If you want a worker then buy from working proven stock, if not buy one off the production line and take ya chance. After all ya cant pollish shite ma mon. ATB D[ So what is the ratio? I suppose we will never know the true % mate, maybe if he puts a serial number on every pup that falls off the conveyer belt we may get a better understanding. atb d Quote Link to post
trenchfoot 4,243
Every Hancock dog is ear tattooed, so if you wanted to go to the effort of tracing the linage of any of his pups you could. Most emphasis is placed on the stud dogs, but if you asked you could trace the history of any of the brood bitches also Quote Link to post
yorkshirehunter 27
there a waste of kennal space ,hes a puppy pusher ,untested dogs no good and the ingredients are no god thee too clever to get bitten so wont do fox Quote Link to post
stormyboy 1,352
a good owner will get the best out of a dog by feeding raising and conditioning it right but thats where the owners bit comes to an end. if the dog hasnt got it to be top class its not got it no matter what grub you put in front of it or how much time it spends getting jogged out. or even how much time the man spends making it sit and stay if that floats your boat. so people who say its down to the owner give your heads a wobble and think before you speak like jamiew says you can raise 2 pups from the same litter and one could make the grade the other one might not, same owner so that blows that theorey out the water Your never going to get two dogs the same out of any litter no matter what the pedigree. It's not just about obedience training either it comes down to what gets put in front of the dog and how often. There's so many different factors that come into play that shape a dog. If you don't put game in front of your dog regularly it won't have much chance of reaching it's potential.....and if Whins dogs were as good as he thinks they are there would be no game left in his area. toby if the owner has so little to do with it how come the same people seem to have a top dog all the time whether its ferreting lamping or coursing yet dogs out of the same litter with differant owners dont make the the grade.theres plenty of very well bred dogs out of top worker to worker end up rubbish Very true. Also-toby-dogs from the same litter will not be exactly the same. Different dogs require a different approach to their training,so you will not get the same results unless the training suits the dogs temperament. You will also usually find that training 2 siblings rarely produces 2 top class dogs unless plenty of time is spent training and entering each individually plus when each is entered, showing them enough game to gain the experience to make the grade. The 2 pup theory doesn't add up when you look at it logically. Quote Link to post

Rake aboot 4,935
Whin,, When will you admit that she was a great dog ?? stop blowing yer own trumpet, making out that she was nothing without your input !! you put shitloads of work into Fallon, but the simple fact is ,, she was a good collie x and the basic ingredients were already there,. Hancock provides a set mix so you know what you are getting,, The bitches are all ex track dogs,, some with results behind them, so with the right work,, they should at least do a bit ,, maybe even a lot of a bit !. Do you really think the dogs you have now are really worlds ahead of Fallon,, I don`t think so,, she was a great dog,, one of your best as far as Im` concerned. Quote Link to post
