That first shot just completely f*cks the head up. It's just incomprehensable. I mean; How many f*cking foxes must ye have over there, if That Many can be got at?! It's just mind boggling! :icon_eek:

This is the start of laying them out, Richard Askins was there also. His family owns Sleepy Creek Traps.

Here's some other long liners. I would say between them all there 30k fox over the years.

 

But as I have said Lure and traps play 10% of a haul like that.

 

Back in 1968 I think, Marvin Bud Hall bet a guy by the name of John K Smith both from Iowa who could catch the most fox. John K Smith ended up with 1116 fox. That record stood until last year when another guy in that group broke it by 1 fox. Iron Phil has had a few seasons of 1000 fox but was motivated to break that record ending up with 1202. I don't think that record will ever be reached again.

skinned 964 fox myself

streched,and dried 888 fox myself

best 8 strait day catch 210 fox-1178 traps checked

Best 7 strait day fox catch 187 fox-1043 traps checked.

Also caught:

16 mink

50 muskrats

58 possum

68 coon

21 skunk

2 coyote.

night runner how many square miles or km's would you say it took to

get this haul of fox

He's in the best fox counrty in the US, I would guess 200-250 miles a day driving. You also have to remember that he can drive right up to his sets.

how do they remember where the sets are gps or something ?

i find it hard to remember where i put my car key's

in the house :laugh:
