Answering the question more specifically, I wouldnt hesitate to buy from Dam and Sire that both worked from unknown lines. I have seen some fantastic working dogs from local worker to worker breeding, no fancy pedigrees, lines or breeding rationale. 20yrs ago some of the best working dogs I knew were from 'bobbery packs' that worked every weekend and often during the week to whatever was legal above and below. Cynically I would say many of the fancy ' working lines' were in parallel being paraded around show rings!! Quote Link to post
