this terrier is doin my head in!!! went out yday tryd a few earths 4th 1 i tryed he was pulling like mad so the collar went on an he went down1 he was baying like mad 5 mins later a fox bolted made up thought he had klicked! so back out 2 day went 2 a earth he was doin the same so i let him down in out in out baying like mad looking for another entry i dont no what hes doin HELP ME plz

He is a young dog, they don't all take to it like a duck to water.

One of the most important qualities you need is patience, if you haven't got patience you have f**k all.

 

I would recomend you go out with someone more experienced and let them see the dog work as I can't advise you over the internet, and would be surprised if many could.

 

The dog might be shite, the dog mite have potential and just needs brought on correctly.

 

You should know yourself, and if you dont go out with someone who does.

hes 2 an last season he had 3 dug to! the lad who i go out with has moved away so theres no1 local that goes diggin!

Well if he has been dug before and isn't getting results that you are with another dog he would not be up to my standards and would not be in my kennel.

Different people have different expectations and you can't take what anyone on here says as gospel. 99% of it is bullshit.

Rest the dog up and try him again.

 

If the dog is not good enough for you then pts. Only you can decide that not some nobber on here.

But Im of the opinion that if a dog isn't good enough for me it shouldn't be good enough for anyone else. They should be working hard bringing on their own stuff aswell.

some dogs take longer to settle than others mate see how he goes till the end of the season and go from there if i was you
