jodi87 0
I've just started wildfowling and I am thinking of buying some decoys for mallard and grey lags. What are the best type of decoys for floating on a loch and how many of each would do to start off with. I am thinking of buying a couple of calls as well can anyone recommend a good make that is easy to learn. I want to buy a reasonable quality if they are good and will last for a good few years. Thanks
wag 13
I just use hen birds normally wigeon with just the odd drake bird in . I use a long line with clips. So you can change them when needed . mallard decoys will be cheaper than wigeon and other decoys .i don't know why it is. Another reason i use wigeon is because you can carry more of them .i don't know about other areas but i have herd fowlers going back to old school tactics using silhouettes on the green edges have a look on ebay but your best bet would be to try kev Wilcox at tidepool wildfowling .he just deals in wildfowling equipment .
