Guest born to run1083
swimming is the best work out for a dog especially greyhounds it's a high cardio workout without putting alot of exertion on joint and ligaments. alot of top trainers/greyhound owners send there greys to be swam in heated pools. they do circular laps with them. it's thought to be one of the best ways to get a grey fit with very minimal risk of injury. this is the reason the best greys in the country are swam more then ran because there worth to much to be injured Edited October 21, 2011 by born to run1083
tinklefod1 21
have to agree, swimming is excellent for a working/running dog i used to swim mine 2 times a week and walk/run the lure for the rest of it if i was racing him then id either swim him 1ce and lead walk the rest or just take him out and give him a few long slips that seemed to keen him up no end and when he hit the track he would fly
