what to look for

I look at the behavior I like a pup that is active but not to hyper I also look at knuckle,feet and overall health like teeth gums ect

and I like a good looking dog too I like a pup that is chunky not fat if you know what I mean.

if you don't know what your after in a pup, then you really shouldn't get one. simples. :thumbs:

i no what i want in a pup the question was what to look out for so i dont get stcuk with the alien of the litter.

 

this would be my first pup and is it a crime to ask for advice think not mate :bye:

well when i got my terrier i went for the calmer of the dogs and he turned out to be an exellent little so think i may take teh same approch thanks mate

i wasn't having a go lad. a pup should be a reflection of the dog you want it to grow into, as in regards temperament, confidence, intelligence and so on.

just check that its well, skin/coat/teeth/ears/arse hole... ask when it was wormed and what on, can they show you the stuff they used, they should have some as they would have plenty! after that its upto you what one you take home, i like a shy nervey pup, so i can build a bond up and trust with it! and it wont go running up to other people all the time..ofcourse you have to train it not to but i find a shy pup is easyer to train not to do that!!
