lurcher330 2,301 Posted October 16, 2011 Report Share Posted October 16, 2011 I searched for hours yesterday and came across nothing until we were just back at the van when my Lakey dog bushed 1 out of cover and the lurchers ran it to ground in a rabbit borrow ,had to knock out the entrance to let dog in but he was finding it hard to reach so poked about with the bar a couple of feet infront of the dog and brought it down right on top of the fox ,a 5 minute dig at about 3/4 of a foot an acounted for a young dog fox,not the sort of dig i was looking for but a dig never the less and the terrier with out a scracth on him so ready to go again asap Quote Link to post

old timer123 367 Posted October 16, 2011 Report Share Posted October 16, 2011 me twobobdog1 and chase444 and a mate went out today two cheek a couple of earths and ended digging two good foxes one weighed 29 pound and the other was a good size to the first dig was to a red bitch owened by chase444 of this site it seemed it would be easy when the locater read 0.6 but the dig was full of real big roots so after just over 1 hour we broke through to the bitch hoo had been baying well up tight to her game the second dig was to a mates young black bitch this is her first season and her second dig and the little bitch done very well a nice dig of just 0.7 and the the biggest dog fox i have ever seen and weighed 29 pound the keeper wouldnt of been happy two now he sliped from my hand and ran off but what he dont no dont hurt him and i am sure he will father some monsters !!oooops!! cheers for looking how did you weigh it while it was alive ??? do you always carry scales when digging ????
