I don't know why but, there will always be a day when you and your kit just won't gel together. I had this conversation with an All England champion clay pidgeon shot. He says it's just one of those unexplainable things in shooting. It's happened to him with a competition shotgun worth tens of thousands.

I've known times when one of my rifles, that was absolutely shooting clean and true only a day or two before, suddenly felt like a dead, lifeless weight at my shoulder, I just could not get comfortable with, the next day out. It happened to Andy last time we were out too, with his HW90; and that rifle's bloody deadly accurate in his hands. It'll happen again, I reckon Gary, to all of us at some stage or another.

Thing is, not to worry about it mate.

That was an odd day though, Simon. For some wierd reason I couldn't hit a barn door with the 90 which I know is shooting fine, you tried it yourself with no problems at all but I was OK with the Ratty...!!??

I'm glad I fetched it along that day. Two nice bunnies and a squirrel weren't too happy though :D
