how many of you lads use your cockers for hunting rabbit and fox,was thinking of geting 2 teckels but there 2 pricey for my likeing, so my second choice is a cocker, never worked one before i no they will drive cover all day long, and have bags of stamina,my main question is will they track a fox if he breaks from cover and say crosses three fields will they follow,do they tend 2 sound on rabbit and fox.any info would be great cheers.

Mighty celt,i have shot over cockers a lot in the last few year and although they are good cover dogs i have yet to hear one open up on a fox or rabbit.I have and have had springers that will yap on a fox but will only follow until it breaks cover,i suppose if reared from a pup and let run wild in cover they might trail on a bit, personally if it were me i would be looking to get a halfx beaglexspringer, usually give plenty of tounge and will travel on a fox or anything that breaks cover.hope this helps.
