judge2010 196
Why do you think West Ham were asked to do a documentary ?...because they were the most infamous football hooligans in the country thats why The big rivalries were not necessarily the local rivalries apart from West Ham/Millwall and Wolves/West Brom.......West Ham had a massive rivalry with Cardiff,Stoke,Notts Forest,Pompey,Leeds,Birmingham who all had good firms and a big following....and of course they all had big rivalries with each other......West Ham and Millwall never had big numbers but still led the way and were the most reknowned firms in England, that was recognised up and down the country.........when West Ham took the Holte End in 82 with less than 100 lads it kicked off the trend of the taking of ends being the ultimate humiliation......Villas Holte End was 26,000....that was more than our whole ground got at Upton Park.....less than 100 West Ham lads got past police because of the claret and blue being the same as Villa... 5 minutes after kick off got up to the back wall and let out the icf and mile end mob chants.....26,000 Villa just couldnt believe what they was seeing, there was madness for a few minutes but that was a legendary moment in hooligan culture that started the trend of taking ends....Chelsea lost their Shed end so often they made it the away fans end eventually !.....Its all finished now and been replaced by knobheads who think running towards a crowd and throwing a few bottles, then running back again......all with the safety of a police escort is some kind of fun ...... you'll be surprised what still goes on, i'm on a life ban from every ground in England & Wales for being stupid don;t regret it as it was a good laugh and made friends who became "brothers" if you like. Do miss away days though especially london away days.

London away days, what like Fulham,Qpr and Palace .......I still speak with lads who were around back then.....theres even a couple on here !...and they all say the same....its nothing like it used to be.... A life ban for me might as well be a life sentance.....and plenty of others feel the same hence its mostly a kids thing now.....plod have always thought they won when in reality folk just stopped doing it when they started dishing out bans....to be honest i find it all totally embarrassing now looking back.
