Guest cookiemonsterandmerlin
After a very lean time over the last month with birds very few and far between. On sat done the normal 5000 miles drive round the perms only to return home with little hope of bagging a reasonable number. On the way home from work spotted a good flight to a barley drilling field. So arrange to have a go yesterday started at 0900 as the birds are very hard to pin down a feeding time at this time of year . It did not really get going till 1200 I finished at 1730 with 138 picked but lost a few . What strilkes me is hows a area devoid of birds can be flooded with a huge number of birds in matter of days. I have wittnessed this many times but mainly in autumm when birds are being moved by gales like mondays gales. Food sources changing daliy the game season underway causing birds to be pushed by shooting taking place in the normally safe quiet woods etc. I am out again sat with good numbers showing on some combined maize Keep at it boys Cookie Quote Link to post
