Carnt way her up

My two are 4 mouth old now the thing is I know there's different types of bite

1. Play bite

2. Fear

3.aggression

The thing is the poley sometimes not all the

time then I have hold if her will all of a sudden

try to lach on I me at this age it don't really hurt

that much I just carnt way up why she is doing

this is it just a put me down bite I have never

put them down when they bite the sandy is 100

percent fine carnt remember the last time she

bit just fort you lads might be able too help on

this matter

i have 2 6month old poleys and they bite when they are picked up sharpish or held to tight, what i do is let him sniff my hand before i pick him up to let him know i wont hurt him. i bring them into the house for a run around and they are then fine. hope this helps and you get on fine with your ferrets.

it sounds to me like a put me down bite, do you pat/stroke your poley while holding her, that normaly helps

Ye I stroke her and talk too her the lot she don't bite as soon as I pick her up she will

Let me check her over ect and then after like one or two min bite I think It could just be a put me down But I could be wrong I also hold them right and not too tight

All ferrets are different i have a Silver jill that when shes worked and exits a burrow comes out all hyped up and will bite until she calms down again.its just the way ferrets are!

I know its a bit cliche, but give it time.

Some will go on biting throughout there lives but most will give it up. Even the ones that dont can even be predictable.

 

As a rule, if a bite dont hurt, they dont mean anything by it.

Ferret kits are like pups, they bite on everything until they grow on a bit, its just the way they are

just spend more time with her. give her more attention. she is only young. had plenty like this when young. soon grow out of it. confident handling and plenty of it.

If she doesnt do it all the time might be pain related you could be touching a pain spot. Get her checked out by a vet then you can rule that out.

Give it time and more handling it does sound like shes no sure she wants you to handle her and wants down to do her own thing , I was going to say if she was doing it when you where out handle her and stroke her between burrows dont put her in the box till i re read she's only four months old ,Sound like shes a moody teenager
