Moll. 1,770
Yes they can sometimes take an interest in sheep, rare breeds, or normal....even the best trained stock broke dogs. Just takes one unusual instance or circumstances Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
right then...i was having a debate with some one about when a dog is trained to take down deer..... my argument was, once a dog has taste of deer hunting, then would the dog have more chance of pulling sheep/cattle/horse down as well. hunting day or night?? i would like input from experianced preban hunters that did this in the past... this is a preban question...i dont even have deer no where near where i live! thanks A few years ago i was having this same conversation with a couple of Irish lads that liked a run on Venison, they stopped after their dogs mistook an horse for a roe one night, they said it was a bas***d to get the dead horse in the Fiesta. The day after it was in the papers and all over the news channels, because of idiots with lurchers,Shergar met his end. 2 Quote Link to post
