rolly 0
I know people who have used them on groundhog, raccoon, fox, badger, possum, wild hogs, bobcats, coyotes, pheasant, grouse, rabbit, rats, etc. The list is as long as you want. Use it on whatever you like and you will find out the results. I know of somebody who has treed black bear with russells, but not intentionally. They will either be into it, or not. The limit.......why would there be a limit? Nate Quote Link to post

Kye 77
With Jack Russels, i would draw the line at Mice...unless of course the mice were very angry...then you may need to double them up...or use a game bred dog...like a Shitzu... Kye,.. Quote Link to post
Guest Eamon.Mc
Some pics of JRT quarry. Start with the smallest then gradualy work your way up to the harder quarry! Quote Link to post
Guest john the baptist
Have you bought a russel? If so, what quarry are you intending to work it too? What type of work do you intend to use it for? If it's for earthwork, how's it bred? Bit of a silly question really as you should have looked into all this before you got one jmo Quote Link to post

nelson 0
Do what you like with your Terrier mate, the reason folk ask why you got it is to try and point you in the right direction, if you are going to hunt up whatever comes your way then go after Rabbits, if you want use your terrier for earth work later then leave the rabbits well alone. Your dog at the end of the day matey, good luck with it. Quote Link to post
thurso jack 3
ive have seen this lad on another forum, he is only young folks go easy on him, we all had to start somewhere? JRT, asking loaded questions like you did immeadiately makes people suspicious, there are certain laws in this coutry which prohibit what you can and cannot leagally hunt and how you can hunt it, try researching these laws and it may help you for your future questions (or click and read eamons link). jpnixon 7
just my opinion but terriers should be kept for working to ground if ye want rabbits a ferret and a small lurcher. I know some people on here are avid ratters and most would probably swear by a russel or a border for killing rats (but a big stick does just as good as a job )hope that helps Quote Link to post
