Is it too mild for inland duck flighting

Recommended Posts

We have a small pond that has shot very well in previous years but this year although holding around 20-30 duck through day they seem to be reluctent to return on a evening. We are feeding every other day by hand. Only thing i can think thats different is temperature for time of year anyone else have any thoughts on this

Well if there on the pond during the day then they have to be arriving at some point. Try sittting out and see what times they get there......try early morning as well and see what there movements are.....

If there sitting on during the day then you should chase them off, especially the days when you are hoping to go for a night flight. I dont think the weather has a massive effect. Only time the weather comes into great effect is when you have a pond that has a nice running stream through it and it doesn't freeze when the rest of the ponds in your area are frozen.

Keep the food there and they'll come....
