Caravan Monster 323
Was once warned by a running dog specialist vet with a very long career behind him that he was always concerned about the risk of incontinence resulting from spaying - it is a small risk, but one that ought to be considered when weighing up the situation - I still had my bitch spayed and she continued to lead a long and healthy life and her hunting drive stayed the same as before the operation, only diminishing with old age. Also, be very sure that the dog is fully matured physically and mentally before neutering. Messing with those hormones before fully developed could be a disaster. This applies to spaying and castration. Edited October 16, 2011 by Caravan Monster
