skycat 6,173
Makes all the sense in the world: I met a woman when I was out exercising the dogs the other day: she had a rescue lurcher she was having problems with...anyway, to cut a long story short, after chatting for a while she said to me "You are so lucky to feel so passionate about something (she was referring to my life revolving around working my dogs), most of us just have to muddle through life not having something that drives us on and we settle for the easy, safe or middle road, only now and again having a feeling that we are missing something." I reckon that says it all!

LDR 29
Ill tell ye all now, if it was not for my son, i would be long gone by now, who knows, may have even been a top coursing , man? Its the young lad and upsetting him and her indoors telling me how it will feck him up, thats stoping me. I feel like :shout: Frank. :alcoholic: This is only my view frank, but that aint the way to go mate, in my experience in the line of work i do, i've seen more f****d up kids because the parents 'stay together' for the kids sake, than anything else!!!! If you can both be rational about the whole break up thing and it wont resort into an ugly court battle of custody and access, then there is no reason why your lad cant have the best of both worlds!!!! I know its easier said than done and i wasn't gonna originally post on this cos you cant really advise on something you dont know all the facts on......( unless you're the government and dont like hunting...... ) but as someone said earlier, you can only do whats right for you!!!!! good luck big boy, hope you find what it is you need........ Guest Frank
Longdogrunner, i was thinking of the same thing myself, could not be more further from the truth. Ok, their is compremise and i have done that, so has she, but, its a lot more then just me wanting another dog. We argue most of the time, usually in front of the lad, to a point, where one of us is fit to kill I reckon its because we are both very strong headed and are like 2 billy goats, stubborn as feck. I will paint a picture of how we are like, without the vilonce though. Has any of you wathched father ted, the part where ted walks in on the couple that keep arguing and being very abusive to each other?, well, we are not too fat from that. Frank.
