rocky1 942
codliver oil is good for the bones and joints ,a quality diet should provide everythink your dogs needs for hard graft
diggerdog 0
i agree that a good quality diet should provide everything, but glucosamine and electrolytes are what we use
Guest AngelicAcid
Raw, and Keepers mix, and it works without a doubt. Codliver in the winter months, or a bit oil or lard mixed in. Coconut oil seems to be good for the Terriers(thanks p***y.) Seems to (I think anyway) keep a layer of fat around the dog, im probaly wrong, But Its worth a try.

sandymere 8,263
Good mixed diet with a little extra oil. Most completes already have added vits etc. when working, a little energy boost with sips of glucose or some form of carb as required and on return to the car or home if not to far away a light meal, carbs protein and fat. Ensure plenty of access to water. If mine have had a hard night I'll mix an egg with water, add a little codliver oil and a couple of biscuits and give them that. Don't want to be adding extra vitamins etcetera if you can help it. http://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/index.php/vitamins-and-mortality/#more-16540
