spot.me.in.the.dark 5
well the phonecall came that work is back on for a week.... working away ... which means no hunting. i am to set off today at 2 oclock so last night thought it best to take the dog for a few runs. the dog was injured 4 month ago and i was told he would never run again. so the last month and a half has been a long slow process to try give him the best chance. from small amounts of free running to walks to long walks to jogging to running beside bike and to swimming.... now things had been going well and he was looking very fit and agile and ready... the moon was nill and the cold sea wind was bolwing inland and the lamp was out.... we headed over to the golf course for small session.... golf courses aint the easiest for dogs to run and are verry dangerous for dogs.... i just wish to state that many dogs have fell victum to the high speed persuits a golf course brings ...... anyway we entered the course and flicked the lamp on to find one bunny in the prefect place.. the dog was released to dhow the most abismal right hand turn you have ever seen in your life.... with a sharp recall he returned and we continued, the next and final run concisted of a fantasticlay exicuted left turn and a right turn to let it get away... i headed home with the truth of the injury sinking in that he may not run again... this morning i was awoken to the sound of my phone... on the other end was a man who i have been concidering having as a shooting partner and general hunting pal... we decided at 10 oclock we woild head out to my local permission and i would show him the land and possibly bag some game.. we met in pearson as he came to pick me up in a splendid landrover 4x4, he was a verry nice chap who gives off a very respectfull vibe. we where getting to know eachother and making a little more noise than prefered but we seen pleanty wood pigeon and around 10 - 15 rabbits .... unfortuanatley they seen us before we seen them.. i blanked lastnight and we blanked today... but i got to see the reality regarding the dog and in turn have lost a good hunting partner... and by the looks gained one the verry next day.... my dog will be kept as a pet from now and live the rest of his days that way, he has been loyal to me and i shall return the favour .... such a shame at only 2 3/4 years old thanks for the read guys pleas comment and hope you enjoyed :-) spot me in the dark Quote Link to post
