forest of dean redneck 11,707 Posted October 9, 2011 Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 i had quite a few of the plummer books when i was a teenager and like you say they would be better off in the romance section of ficton than factual if i remember rightly i got rid at a carboot years ago yet now they are fetching £30 at hay on wye never read nathan i see the reprints only £15 so may get it . A 15min walk up the road,Castle May Queens Mums house !,The Babbling brook ? was a dirt filled ditch until it was cleaned out .Wrote Truthfully ? he had pigs in the house ,Took about 2yrs just to get it presentable !Cutting peats My Arse ..Publishers got it for him ,to write as far as i'm aware.Caithness is littered with his Experiments,went out one day with a couple locals with his First" Plummers" Ugly or what .Russels with Basset ears,but the've come along way since and I don't think Brian,nice enough fella as he was Got them to were they are now. I still enjoy the read,but take alot with a pinch of salt.He left aload of miss-prints behind after his accident that made him head South,few bobs worth no doubt now .
