ArchieHood 3,692
I decided to pay the farm a visit this afternoon to see if it had any vermin on offer,I didn't see anything but the signs were there so a visit at night is on the cards. Not wanting to miss an opportunity I walked the headland which adjoins a large wood to see if anything in the trees would show itself. It didn't take long to hear the tell tale sounds of a tree rat feasting above me in the trees canopy,I waited till I got a good view of him and then put the cross hairs on him,I made a few clicks to get his attention and took my shot,he dropped to the ground with a thud. The sun was now out and I thought I would get a few more, but alas not a sighting let alone a shot.I wasn't to concerned because I am just as happy wandering ,taking in the scenery as I am shooting.I was nearly back to the farm when something caught my eye,I put the scopes up to see a young Roe deer feeding along the hedge line,I crept closer and managed to get my shot before it vanished into the wood. With that one in the bag I decided to call it a day so headed back home in plenty of time for Strictly. 1 Quote Link to post
