Butler 396
IMO it can be done but like some people have already said you need more than a bit of luck on your side. Quote Link to post

Guest deerman
ref taking them single handed ive never seen it,to be honest 2 dogs would struggle, out one night preban slipped 2 27 inch plus dogs on a few hinds , then a blizzad came in couldnt see foot in front of us, after about 30mins found the dogs about 200m from us with a dead hind ,dogs smashed up a bit and a 100 radius circle in the snow where the hind must of been dragging the dogs, that was up in scotland in the wild ,you get on them red stags in parks down south and your in for a fight belive me, oh so ive been told lol.then again a fallow buck/stag can give a dog a hard time use to go with a bloke from hereford way to a well known place where the stags would run then stop and fight the dogs ,peter would then walk up and grap the fallow between the anters and wrestle it to the ground ,and belive me once or 2 he nearly came off 2nd best. mackem 26,168
Maybe your right DM,even the hinds I saw earlier were taller and stockier than the local fallow bucks Quote Link to post
