Don't remeber ever buying a lamp back then they were either made or borrowed never to be returned.

always used a lr6 or lr9 brilliant lamps at the time and was always on the lookout for something to make a better handle for them .we used micro switches never let you down .mind you the batteries in them days were a pain on you and your clothes. first lamp i ever purchased was blue eye but scared to take it in case we got caught lol. plus they were a bit top heavy if my memory serves me right.tbh the striker and blitz take some beating in my opinion if you sort the wiring out as soon as you get them.we all moan about them but i bet their still the most used and popular lamp on the market.just bought myself the newcluelite self containd lamp runs on aa batteries ok for small feilds but not a patch on lightforce lamps plus switch very stiff and makes tendons in wrist sore at end of night .
