If I know they are there I can prepare myself but if they catch me by surprise I'll shit my pants. Jumped up on top of the quad when a kitten darted out from behind a feed storage bin in the dark, thought it was a fecking great big rat! I cant concentrate or get my head back straight after being close to one and catching site of it and it really pisses me off. I would pay a lot of money to be cured of what is a genuine phobia, and why the hell am I so bothered by them when I know its irrational?? Can it be cured? That did make me laugh......think you just gotta submit to a phobia mate.....fear you can overcome but phobias your stuck with im afraid........my mrs has a phobia of snakes,only has to see a picture of one in a book and she,ll literally feel ill and wont be able to look. I dare say you might get some folk say you can be cured.......but in my opinion your best just avoiding them if its a genuine phobia......irrational fear now thats a different thing and definately something you can beat.......kung foo on the invisible man classic. I became a blood doner years back to try to get over it but each time I fainted. I've also got a bit of an irrational fear of horses so I took riding lessons with an old girlfriend who was into all that, so now I can ride, I'm just terrified of what I'm sitting on!! I was obsessed by them as a kid,used to tail them alive when ferreting,I was barefoot in a dark temple passage once and had hundreds all around me in the gloom,great stuff.
