Recommended Posts

I've been using an 'A' bolt for over 20 yrs and it is a great gun, never let me down and hasn't had the barrel cleaned since I bought it......

So...an A bolt, a Simmons 3.5-10x50 WTC, is that a Sako Mod and a Deben Max, and just 4 bunnies, well everything else seems ok so perhaps cleaning the rifle will improve the bag!!

ATB!

It is a 'Sak' mod,Sako don't make mods. They were the only pics I could find as I don't normally take pics of bunnies.Plus those in glass houses and all that 'Ken'.....lol

:hmm: Foxdropper, I think you misread or I didn't make it clear enough, the .22lr sub has the power to stop a fox at 100 yards easily but few can do it, that was the point I was making, and also mak

cheers for help lads.

what distance would they take a fox as i wouldn think they would have the power.

what would be reasonable price for cz.

A sub sonic .22lr has the power to stop a fox at 100 + yards no problem.

The simple fact is to keep this humane you need to know the rifle/ammo/ballistics very well and be able to deliver the shot precisely to do that.

100 is not normally a distance to consider for fox, if you need that range, or further, then you need to consider a different tool.

no it would be more so just for rabbits. as anything bigger would do to much damage to a rabbit.

What kind off money would second hand or new cz be ??

cheers Ollie

Chap, I could shoot a bunny with a .308 (as could many here) and still leave it undamaged except missing a head, forget this bigger calibre/damage idea!

True, depends where ya hit them. When we had bunnies local some of the best fun I had was head shooting them with .223. all that'd be left above the top of the shoulders was two ears ;)

Ya you could shoot rabbits with what ever size you like but why ?? it heavyer and more expensive to shoot because as you know in a days rabbit shooting you could fire a nice few shoots.

Nobody is suggesting you should use a centrefire on rabbits, read back a few posts to pick up the thread!
