bolting foxs with ferrets

Yes bolted one last season with the stinkers, it bolted well then it was headed by the dogs and went back to ground. We continued to work the warren with 6-8 ferrets and never saw or heard a thing from the fox, all ferrets came away unscathed.

Doing a banking once and a fox bolted got the net back on the first fence and had a scarey 30 minutes till i got all six jills out unmarked , The next time put a jill in a three holer and five minutes later a foxes head showed at the hole dug it out a vixen with three cubs and my ferret cut along the ribs and one eye hanging out . No smell of charlie either time :blink:

Have never bolted a fox had the ferret back out of a river bank burry once hissing and spitting then a mink showed itself at the hole entrance

also over the years bolted a cat weasels stoats rats little owl and pheasants as forrest gump says you never know what your gonna get :laugh:

wouldnt of thought a fox would bolt from a ferret but i dont do ferreting,would of thought a fox would of just stood its ground and killed the ferret/ferrets

 

 

I think if your quiet enough and they havent heard you they will bolt and no fight it out
