paulus 26 Posted October 5, 2011 Report Share Posted October 5, 2011 keep the pen roof as low as possible as they will fly up and scalp themselves. angle the floor toward the front so eggs roll forward, wire floors that slide out with a solid tray underneth that also slide out for cleaning are good. seal all joints with corking or silicon to aid mite control. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
the_stig 6,614 Posted October 5, 2011 Report Share Posted October 5, 2011 i`m no expert -- had mine in the aviary with everthing else they had a box on the floor with a bob hole in it and a hinged lid ... i ran a couple of low perchs arcross but they never used them .. i`ve seen em in runs 8ft x 4 ft and no more than 3ft off the ground with a box on the end bit like a rabbit run ..
