My l200 warrior is doing 34.5 mpg so why should I pay £400 when my 1.6 16v fiesta was only doing 28 mpg before I sold it?? f*****g labour c**ts shoot the lot of them!! First they ban hunting then stop us taking our dogs off road by slaming up on tax!!! WANKERS!!!!

BLACKBOB 9
How much will I pay? How much you pay for VED depends on how much CO2 your car emits. I own a high-performance car. Does that mean I will pay more? More than likely. SUVs, sports cars and some luxury cars are likely to be in the top G band. If your car emits more than 225b/km of CO2 you may have to pay the top rate which rises to £300 this year and will rise further to £400 next year. How do I find out what VED band my car is in? Check out these links: DVLA SMMT I have a five-year old 4x4. Will my VED rise? No. Only cars that are less than one year old will pay the new VED rates. Any car registered before 23rd March 2006 will pay at the previous rates. I’m thinking of buying a biofuel vehicle. How will I be affected? If the vehicle falls into Band A you will not pay any VED. If it fall into Band B you will pay £30 per year. Running costs will be cheaper for biofuel cars too with a 20p a litre duty reduction extended to 2010 for renewable fuels, and 40p a litre reduction for biogas extended to 2012. Cheers bob
