lksopener 105
It's ridiculous really. However some people just see the ferret as a disposable tool which isn't right it's still an animal and deserves the same respect either way. Gutted you have lost your ferret mate, regarding the kid maybe he needs to learn a little more about ferrets and ferret care. Maybe you could take him under your wing and show him right from wrong. Thats if he is willing to learn, some kids really do want to learn and others don't but it's worth a shot. Again sorry to hear about your ferret. Liam Quote Link to post

Malt 379
Sorry to hear that fella.. why would u release it in the woods.the kid done right .if u cant keep them in u dont deserve to have them . Are you for real? Most experienced ferret owners know that a one ferret will usually batter f**k out of another when you first put them together to establish dominance, more so if it's a hob and jill... It looks violent as hell if your not used to seeing it.. ..and please don't use text talk, it's against the forum rules. Not hard to spell 'you' instead of typing 'u'... Quote Link to post

upperlane2 4
dont be taking my comments to heart lad.it was more the release them to woods bit that annoyed me (to find its way to the nearest farm and be pitch forked or shot for killing hens) I think someone needs to take YOU under there wings u sound a bit immature all this talking about knocking boys heads off just shows how immature you are. Accidents can happen true BUT in the end off the day the ferret was killed because off ur skills in building a hutch FACT. get urself a proper hutch made and happy hunting. Quote Link to post
fatlad 250
i sorted him a ferret and he really doesn,t seem imature to me, ive had ferrets escape myself through chewing threw the wire of a cage it wasn,t down to me being bad at biulding a hutch it was because the wire was crap that i used, i used chicken wire instead of weld mesh. its always been hobs in the summer that have chewed there way threw the wire to escape, but you live and learn and ive never lost a ferret since i changed the wire on my cages to weld mesh Quote Link to post
upperlane2 4
sometimes u get away with it other times u dont. would use ever leave ur hunting box opened close to hutch then the ferret might go there first before he hits the town. sometimes no matter how good u think you are an older experienced person might be worth a word with (on making hutches or ways off keeping ferrets close when they do escape).atb Quote Link to post
